Economic Stimulus Package – Who gets the extra $ for dependents?

Written By: admin on June 1, 2009 One Comment

My child's father and I take turns claiming our child every other year. I am just curious as to which one of us will get the 0 refund for dependents in this new stimulus package? Anyone happen to know? I can't seem to find anything online or in any of the articles online about it!!! Thanks!
Ok, I figured that the one who claimed the child on their tax return, but do you suppose it would be who claimed the kid for the 2007 tax year? I am soooo confused!! ;o)

The tax rebate for your child would go to the parent that claimed them on their 2007 tax return. They are basing the rebate on your 2007 return only!
