how does barack obamas economic stimulus package work?

Barack obamas website says he wants to give a 250 dollar tax cut for workers and their families. How does that work to simulate the economy? I thought i heard we were all getting 1000 dollar rebate checks?

The first thing you must question yourself is, “Where is this money going to come from?” The answer, more taxes. He is going to raise taxes on businesses. Those costs, that businesses incur will, not may WILL, result in layoffs. Layoffs mean that more people will be out of work. Being out of work mean that people do not have money to spend. As to this whole “redistribute” the wealth thing you must remember that you, me, and everyone else that has any money has worked hard their whole lives to earn their money. None of us worked hard to share our money with other people. Now, if O’bama would please produce his birth certificate, we can all rest a small better.
